While our specialized workers are being constantly discriminated, Italian universities prepare students in English only

In light of the British stirkes that have been taking place against Italian employees, ERA’s ("Esperanto" Radical Association) Secretary, Giorgio Pagano, states that: "An indignant cry goes out to our fellow citizens who are being protested against in a country priviledged country where everything is in English and currently favours English mothertongues at the expense of all ther European Community workers, thanks to the all-English hegemony." The native employees’ indignation has been swiftly acknowledged by the Nottinghamshire Unionists, the ones who, together with Tor Vergata, activated a pharmaceutical university degree course taught only in English.«It’s easy to think,» Giorgio Pagano continues, «that 5 years from now our neo-pharmacists, without knowing it, are being pushed towards a migrant future, and will be welcomed like a usurpers by their colleagues beyond the channel! Meanwhile, in Great Britain, for every small contract won by an Italian company, becomes a reason for protest stemming from opportunist and discriminatory sources, Italians open entire University courses to the English, as the English prepare to occupy with a full-bodied staff of English mother tongue teachers only, at the expense of other Italian teachers. Unions, university, businesses, are all conniving against language discrimination which now exists in each one of the country’s department, regardless of the specialization, a discrimination which has entered in to the daily work life of every European citizen that is not guilty of being English mother-tongue" Pagano insists.
