Protests in India, Pagano (ERA): “The Indian Government regresses back to before Gandhi.”

“The Indian Government is going back to the times before Gandhi,” states Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the Esperanto Radikala Asocio.

“Anna Hazare, 74 years old, is in prison for having challenged the stakes that were imposed during a non-violent protest, he is a model civilian for everyone around the world.

However, a country born from non-violence, who today punishes by improsining, is a country that’s making a grave error,” Pagano continued.

“As non-violent Radicals, we condemn the Indian Government’s reaction towards the Hazare and his companions’ protest, which was justified in every way. We hope that the leading members and the authorities return to the ideals that founded India as a country,” Pagano concluded.
