Pagano (Radicals/ERA): « Move from using the words ‘peace’ and ‘non-violent,’ to using the non-violent language of peace.»
[fimg=left]https://www.eraonlus.it/4/lotti.jpg[/fimg] The "Esperanto" Radical Association, invited by the non-violent movement, will take part in the Perugia-Assisi Peace March.
During the national seminar that was held in Perugia on the 1st and the 2nd of July, the Association suggested a module entitled «Euro-mediterranean work – transnational linguistic democracy» as well as «Esperanto, the non-violent language for peace: how it works and why.»
«The English-speaking powers are taking all the profit: we can’t give them our non-proft as well,» said Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the "Esperanto" Radical Association.« We must change from using the words ‘peace’ and ‘non-violent,’ to using the non-violent language of peace and launch a strong innovative non-violent role in communicating, an alternative worth initiating in honour of the March’s 50th anniversary. Esperanto, the International Language for everyone, is the linguistic incarnation of Capitini’s omni-ocracy.»
« I personally agree that language is one of the characteristics, aside from political-economic ones, that unite all of us, and it is one of the themes that we must confront," Flavio Lotti explained during a broadcast conducted by the "Esperanto" Radical Association on Radio Radicale, «Democrazia Linguistica.it.» «More importantly, this is a topic which unites the north and the south of both sides of the mediterranean as the second half of the mediterranean, the Arab people, assert the use of the arab language.»
