ONU: Aboriginal people of the world can no longer be kicked out of their own territory. However, 4 democratic superpowers voted against this.
Statement by Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the "Esperanto" Radical Association on the approval of the Declaration of the rights of Indigenous People.
"Finally, after 20 years of debate, the declaration has been approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations, acknowledging the rights of indigenous people and their right to the land, sanctioning native identity, language, education rights and the right to preserve traditions. It’s a revolutionary delcaration as the tribes all around the world can now enjoy their basic rights without the risk of being kicked off their land. It’s a great victory, for us as well as for our friends at Montagnard, which, like the Radicals, have supported the cause for years now. I think it striking that four of the world’s largest capitalist democracies, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, voted against."
