Statement by Giorgio Pagano – Radicals/ERA
"Italy's exclusion from Libya that was announced via video conference proves that Italy's behaviour is similar to that of a colony than a power," Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the "Esperanto" Radical Association, stated. " The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Frattini, is trying in vain to minimize the blow that Italy has received."
Pagano continues, "there were 4 people at the table; Obama, Cameron, Sarkozy and Merkel, who didn't wish to hear anything about Lybia, unlike Italy which has made its resources and its bases available, as well as being against the State in question."
" To be excluded is a serious issue, and it's born from our diplomacy's political failure that has always busied itself concentrating on auto-subordination, starting from the use of language: it's not a coincidence then, that the language the European Patent is that of the Quadrumvirates, a diplomatic slap that hit us earlier this year. We ask ourselves what the Head of State thinks of this exclusion and we sincerely hope that President Napolitano can make a stand: it feels as if we are celebrating 150 years of irrelevance, or should i say, Risorgimento of Compliance," Pagano concluded.
