European Day of English. Statement by Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the "Esperanto" Radical Association.

"European Day of English, this is what the Commission should name the European Day of Languages, instead of scoffing at the citizens that belong to the other 22 languages of the Union. This year, while the English are no longer learning a second language, the European Commission invites the people of Europe to learn at least 2 other languages, or to try as early as possible. They have done so by launching the "Piccolingo Campaign," aimed towards the parents, so that they can persuade their children to learn another language within the ages of 2 and 6, so that the "give me the first two years of man and keep the rest" colonization will be locked and loaded for success. Obviously the campaign’s website, http://www.piccolingo.eu, is strictly in English only and reads "Piccolingo campaign for early foreign language learning,"being written in English it might suggest that it is only directed to English mothertongues, yet the English are not required to study even one second language in school. I advise Orban to study a campaign for European Linguistic Democracy that should be aimed to the English children with the aim to "Save English children from learning only English."
