Education, Pagano (Radicals/ERA): "To the streets to protest against the Linguistic Star Wars"
Statement by Giorgio Pagano – Radicals/ERA
" When the attempt to depersonalize and degrade a profession and the complete lack of common sense meet, it can give way to two things: the ministry's current education policy and the regulations that we are now seeing introduced in to the school system," states Giorgio Pagano, Secretary of the Esperanto Radical Association.
"With the CLIL and teaching non-linguistic subjects in English, the teachers will be identified based on their linguistic ability: B2, B1, etc. A teacher who has C1 in English will be twice as advantaged as he may be clueless about his own subject that he's teaching, but having a higher level in English he is, in any case, considered superior to his colleagues, not only that, but he'll have the honour of sharing his new name with the lovable "Star Wars" robot," Pagano added.
"Some places are already experimenting with this unique technique in order to complete the devastation of the educational system, and the "grasshoppers" of the Italian language are already halfway through the gathering's destruction: in fact, some of the rulers taking part in ths experiment have already started recruiting English mothertongues to teach, at the expense of insecure Italian mothertongues. We don't need to wait for part two of this predictable destructive operation, which is CLIL textbooks will resort to anglo-american publishers: we must take to the streets to protest against the CLIL and against this absurd social, emplyment and cultural self-mutilation," Pagano concluded.
